Torn and Healed 197.

2.5.1989.

(Hos.6:1-3/Phil. 3:12-14/Matt 5:6)

Come, let us now return to Him;
we're torn, but we'll be healed.
He's wounded us by His rebuke,
but this was love revealed.
He'll bandage us and raise us up
that we may live again,
And walk before Him purified;
His witnesses to men.

Let's recognize and understand
and press on to know Him.
In zealousness let's forge ahead
to heed and cherish Him.
His going forth has been prepared,
it's certain as the dawn.
He'll come to us like rains in spring;
He never has been gone.

Let's reach ahead forgetting all
that's past and lies behind,
And press on toward the upward call
for all in Him we find!
Let's seek Him with all earnestness
and lay all self aside.
For those who hunger after Him
they shall be satisfied.

Come, let us return to the Lord.
For He has torn us, but He will heal us;
He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.
He will revive us after two days;
He will raise us up on the third day,
That we may live before Him.
So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord.
His going forth is as certain as the dawn;
And He will come to us like the rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth.
Hosea 6:1-3

Not that I have already obtained it
or have already become perfect,
but I press on so that I may lay hold of that
for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet;
but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind
and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of
the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Matthew 5:6
